J2 SECURE SECOND WIN IN SOUTH EAST LEAGUE
After an away win to Arklow last week the Gorey J2 travelled to Wicklow for their second outing in the SE League.
Gorey shaded the early exchanges and a Reece’s Hughes try and a Ryan Gibney penalty gave them the lead.
Just before halftime Wicklow opened their scoring with a fine try to leave one between the teams at the break.
Gorey kept the pressure up and two more Ryan Gibney penalties secured Gorey their second win in the competition.
This was a good overall team performance with Cameron Reynolds, Barry O'Connor and Michael Wafer showing in the forwards. Ryan Gibney, Dearan McGrath and Seamus Tomkins were the pick of the backs.
Next up for Gorey is Carlow at home next Sunday
