UNDER 15'S WELSH TOUR REPORT.

The under 15's travelled to Wales on Saturday  the 1th of May smartly turned out in their Gorey tour polo shirts finished off with Gorey crested jackets.  The tour began with a visit to the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff to watch the Welsh under 18 cup final.  This was followed by the team watching the Leinster Heniken Cup match.  The next day Sunday after a hearty breakfast the team travelled to Crymach R.F.C. where the A and B teams faced Crymach and Whitland R.F.C. respectfully in two excellent games of rugby.  Both Gorey teams came out the winners.  After a fabulous spread put on by Crymach which consisted of locally made pasties and sausage rolls to mention but a few items of this exceptional feast, the teams then travelled to Neyland R.F.C. to watch Crymach in an under 14 final and catch the Munster match.

The next day and the last day of our tour took in a visit to 'Oakwood' park where a great time was had by all including the coaches and parents as some of the photos will show.  A brilliant time was had by everyone and it was very rewarding to see all the team mixing so well in different settings and surroundings.  Comments were even made to me by hotel guests where we stayed, that we had a very well behaved bunch of lads and it is a credit to them that comments like these were being passed.  A special thanks to the John and William Willoughby, Paul Walsh and Maurice Hughes who assisted Peter Earle, Ivan Kelly, Paddy Sinnott and myself in making it a very successful tour and here's to many more.
